This instrument has been inspected by our professional trumpet technician, and it's ready to go.Travels in England, France, Spain and the Barbary States in the year 1813-14 and 15, by Mordecai M. There are a few touches of original lacquer left remaining on the tuning slides, but the majority of the instrument is in a raw brass finish. Neither of these patches were installed here, and they were likely installed using old lead solder.

There is a patch along the trumpet's leadpipe, and one on the bow of the bell as well. It's got a beautiful, smokey, dark sound that would be ideal for solo performance. What this horn is lacking in looks, it makes up for in how it plays. This trumpet is no exception to that feedback. The Buescher 225/400 has been described as a lead player's ideal horn, and a perfect alternative to the Martin if budget is an issue. Manufactured: Late 1940's (Elkhart, IN).
